My Journey (so far)

“You are a bit of a maverick” smiles Rory, a consultant in his 60s, as he debriefs the results of the various personality tests he had me do as part of a professional development programme. “I guess you could say that” I revert with an even bigger smile, reflecting back on my life …

I grew up beside a big wheat field, bordering the woods to the west and some impressive chestnut trees to the north. I loved being among trees, either with my friends - building tree"houses" - or by myself, listening, observing, sensing. At night, I would look out at the starry sky, pondering the universe. One of the first books I bought for myself as a teenager was "Cosmos" by the astrophysicist Carl Sagan. There was also the esoteric "Schicksal als Chance" (The Challenge of Fate) by Thorwald Dethlefsen and an old-fashioned weighty tome on French grammar. Another essential addition to my eclectic collection was a book on traditional herbalism which proved useful for foraging the woodlands and growing herbs in our garden.

And then rationality and my wanderlust kicked in, I left my native Austria, studied international business & economics and went corporate. Nevertheless, my quest into the mysteries of (human) nature, foreign lands, ancient traditions and scientific knowledge continued. While pregnant with my children, I discovered Reiki, Mindfulness and Kundalini Yoga to help me rebalance my busy corporate work life. Somehow my many and seemingly contradictory interests have woven into a purposeful, engaged life and a strong personal and professional commitment to accompanying others on their journeys.

Looking back over four decades of acquiring knowledge, experimenting with life, diving into my inner wisdom and moving between worlds, I have cultivated deep respect, humility and admiration for our human experience in all its rainbow colours.  My own learning and practice continually deepens and I am very grateful that I can help people access their own wisdom, consciousness and inner resources to be the human being they want to be.
